Introduction

In the context of worsening global climate change and increasingly severe resource constraints, the fashion industry urgently needs to break through the traditional model and explore innovative pathways for sustainable development. Following the 1st conference focusing on “Integration · Symbiosis” (2019) and the 2nd conference focused on“Integration · Sharing” (2023), the 3rd International Conference on Fashion and Sustainability (ICFS 2025) will be held in Wuhan, China, from 22 to 25 October 2025. With the theme of “Integration · Co-creation: Driving Sustainable Fashion through Technology and Cultural Innovation”, the conference will gather global insights and collaboratively shape the future of fashion.

This conference aims to promote the transformation of the fashion industry towards a green, intelligent, and globalized approach through the dual drive of technological empowerment and cultural inheritance. It will invite international fashion leaders, leading scholars, pioneering designers, and policymakers to engage in in-depth discussions on core topics such as artificial intelligence, sustainable materials, and the innovation of intangible cultural heritage, along with industry-university-research collaboration, among others. A special “The Belt and Road” forum will be set up to foster in-depth cooperation among countries along the route in areas of resource integration, technology sharing, and market expansion. Through keynote speeches, sub-sessions, design workshops, and sustainable fashion design exhibitions, we will build a platform for cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural co-creation, providing practical solutions and forward-looking action initiatives for the global fashion industry.
