Prof. Xu Weilin

Prof. Xu Weilin Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering President of Wuhan Textile University Professor Xu was a teacher of both Sichuan University and Wuhan University of Science and Engineering (the predecessor of Wuhan Textile University), the director of WUSE’s Textile Research Institute, the assistant to president of WUSE, the deputy president of WUSE and a member of its CPC Standing Committee, the deputy president of WTU and a member of its CPC Standing Committee, the director of Training Base of Hubei Provincial New Textile Materials and Advanced Processing Technology

Prof. Jose Teunissen

Professor Jose Teunissen started in March 2023 the director of Amsterdam Fashion Institute at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Besides she is a active professor in Fashion Design and Identity involved in (European) research project and an independent fashion curator having a strong international profile as expert in the area of innovation and de-westernization of fashion. From 2016-2023 she was the dean of School of Design and Technology at London College of Fashion (UAL)

Dr. Patsy Perry

Dr. Patsy Perry is a Reader in Fashion Marketing in Manchester Fashion Institute at Manchester Metropolitan University, and is the fashion department’s Research and International Lead. She is an experienced researcher and educator, with a PhD in Corporate Social Responsibility in fashion supply chains, and she has published her research in various academic journals and textbooks. She is often featured in the UK and international media for her expertise on fashion supply chains and sustainability, including BBC Breakfast, Sky News, Channel 4, BBC radio stations, as well as The Telegraph, The Independent, The Observer, Financial Times, South China Morning Post and Vogue Business amongst others.

Prof. Shinichi Kushigemachi

​Prof. Shinichi Kushigemachi President of Bunka Fashion Graduate University, Japan Prof. Shinichi Kushigemachi is currently the President of Bunka Fashion Graduate University. He is professor and director with expertise in Fashion Design. He is Bachelor of Economics and his research theme is “Relative Relationship between Men’s Fashion and Women’s Fashion”, the subjects in charge include “Nurturing Creativity II” and “Final Research & Collection,” etc.

Dr. Savvas Vassiliadis

Dr. Savvas Vassiliadis President of the Association of Universities for Textiles (AUTEX) Prof. Dr. Savvas Vassiliadis holds a Diploma in Textiles, BSc in Electronics, MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a PhD in Computational Modelling. His early career was in the textile and automation industry. Later, in the academia, he has served as Head of the Dept of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Vice Rector for International Relations and member of the Senate of the University of West Attica, Athens, Greece. Now he holds the position of the Institutional Erasmus Coordinator.

Prof. Erin Cho

Prof. Erin Cho Inaugural Executive Dean and Professor of the School of Fashion and Textiles, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, ChinaProf. Erin Cho comes from Korea and is the Inaugural Executive Dean and Professor of the School of Fashion and Textiles at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. SFT had existed under its engineering school for over 65 years. As of Fall 2022, the university spun it out and established it as an independent school to exploit the growing demands and new opportunities in fashion.

Dr. Sass Brown

Dr. Sass Brown is the Programme Lead for Kingston University London’s MA in Sustainable Fashion: Business and practices. Previously the Founding Dean of the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation, Sass was also the Interim Dean for the Fashion Institute of Technology's School of Art and Design in New York. As a researcher, writer and educator, Brown's area of expertise is ethical fashion in all its forms from slow design and heritage craft skills to recycling, reuse, alternative business models and ethical practices. Her publications include the books Eco Fashion and ReFashioned for British publishers Laurence King.

Mr. Mark Jarvis

Now Mark Jarvis is managing director of World Textile Information Network (WTiN), the UK based information provider, where he has leveraged his experience in the materials, media, and technology sectors to fundamentally change the company’s business model. His experiences include Media, Consumer Electronics, IT Distribution, Information Provision, Textiles.

Prof. Raul Fangueiro

Prof. Raul Fangueiro, Vice-Dean of the School of Engineering, University of Minho, Portugal He is Full Professor and Senior Researcher with expertise in advanced materials (nano, smart, composites) and structures (3D, auxetic, multiscale). He is the Mentor and the Head of FIBRENAMICS – Institute of Innovation on Fiber-based Materials and Composites (www.fibrenamics.com). He has more than 190 published papers in international reputed scientific journals (Google Scholar H factor: 45), 500 conference publications, 36 books and 40 patents.

Dr Claudia E Henninger

Dr Claudia E Henninger Reader in Fashion Marketing & Management, Fashion Business Technology, The University of Manchester, UK Dr Claudia E. Henninger is a Reader in Fashion Marketing and Management in the Department of Materials, The University of Manchester. Her research interest and passion are surrounding sustainability in the fashion industry, with a specific focus on the circular economy. Her recent work focuses on reducing “textile waste” and processes to re-loop these back into the economy
